Michelada

A Mexican cocktail, the Michelada is not a cocktail as you know it. Made from beer, this cocktail is made unique with its spicy yet sour tones created from the hot sauce and lime juice.

Recipe for Michelada

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon of hot sauce
  • Lime wedge
  • Salt
  • 1 bottle of lager
  • Ice

Preparation Method

  1. Pre-chill your glass in advance of making the cocktail.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the lime juice and all the hot sauces.
  3. With the pre-chilled glass, take the lime wedges and run it around the rim of the glass before dipping the rim into the salt.
  4. Add the ice before adding the lime juice mixture before topping with the lager and serving.
