Cheesy Chilli Hot Dog
Fun, finger food to fill you up, spice up your hot dogs and serve with a cheesy, chilli con carne topping.

Recipe for Cheesy Chilli Hot Dog
1kg of braising steak mince
450g of sausage meat
3 chopped onions
4 minced garlic cloves
25g of chilli powder
2 tablespoons of plain flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of dried oregano
1 teaspoon of salt
790g of tinned whole tomatoes
450g of kidney beans
4 hot dogs
4 hot dog buns
90g of grater cheddar
Using your Chasseur Cast Iron Casserole Dish, add the braising steak mince, sausage mixture, onions and garlic onto a medium heat and cooking until the meat has browned. Stir the mixture while it cooks.
Drain the pan from any excess oils before stirring in the chcilli powder, flour, sugar, oregano, salt and stirring well.
Cover the pot and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.
Add in the tomatoes and the beans before cooking for a further 30 minutes.
Cook your hot dogs, you can either steam, poach, fry or bake your hot dogs. The decision is up to you.
Warm your hot dog buns under the grill in your oven.
When your hot dogs have been cooked, place them into the now warmed buns before covering with the chilli mixture and topped with as much or little cheese as you like.
